THE SITUATION AT FEZ. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. FEZ, May 1. ' (Received May 2, at 8.5 a-m.) No further attacks have been made onthe town. Some of the principal beleaguering tribes are said to bo quarrelling among themselves. It is estimated that, including General Bremond’s troops, there are 4,000 Loyalist troops in Fez. BERLIN, May 1. The ‘ Norddeufcsclre Allgemeino Zeitimg’ publishes an official warning to France of the consequences of any wrong action, and hopes that events will enable Prance to keep to her programme not to occupy Fez. The independence of the Sultan is an essential feature of the act of Algedras, and a breach thereof would restore to all the Powers their freedom of action. The Austrian Foreign Office has issued: a similar warning.
