Scott Lidgett, on behalf ' of the Wesleyan Church, said that any change in the existing law should achieve the strengthening of and reverence for the marriage contract. He favored equality of the sexes in law, and had never known of a divorce among the Wesleyans. MARRIAGE INDISSOLUBLE. [ ' LONDON. November 30. ' (Received December 1, at 11.15 a.m.) "_ Mr Frederick Harrison, giving evidence j before tho Divorce Commission, said that [ the Positivist Society opposed divorce. They believed that marriage was continued after death, and was indissoluble. They preferred the law as it was at pre sent.
