ST. ANDREW'S DAY FESTIVAL
Attention is drawn to tho annual conference of tho Brotherhood of tit. Andrew, which is to be held on St. Andrew's Day (to-morrow) and Thursday. Men's meetings have been arranged for to-morrow at 1.20 p.m. and on Thursday at 12.20 p.m. Each service will not last over thirty minutes. To-morrow festival evensong wiil be sung in St. Paul's Cathedral by combined choirs at 8 p.m. The preacher at all the above services will bo tho Rev. W. W. Sedgwick, B.A. (vicar of St. Luke's, Christchurch), who served with the Royal Navy at Suakim, and received tho Egyptian medal with Suakim clasp and the Khedive's bronze star for distinguished service. He was also chaplain to King George on H.M.S. Thunderer, and for the general mission was specially chosen to conduct tho mission in St. Paul's, Auckland. On Thursday evening at 7.30 the annual meeting of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew will be held in St. Paul's Schoolroom, followed by short addresses by leading clergy and laymen at 8.15. An "invitation is extended to all men and youths to take paxt in the above functions.
