THE JUNE CHARGES
BITTER DEBATE ANTICIPATED. [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, November 26. I have- the best authority for stating that Mr Mine's counsel thoroughly endorses the Committee's approval of the iiiiparfijJity of the chairman. All the main issues, as drafted by 31 r Hamm, were accepted by the Committee, but there were parly divisions, six to four, on certain questions. At the outset Mr Uanan ruled that the Committee must find on each individual charge, as specifically set cut. There could bo no alteration or amendment thereof, and it was not competent lo constitute any new charge. By the same voting the words "without, any interference by 31 r Kaibau were si ruck out. A biller debate is anticipated on Tuesday, when Ihe House will be given an opportunity of considering the Committee's report.
Sir J. G. Ward will propose a clause recommending that legislation bo introduced to extend the provisions of the Disqualification Act.
