LODGE MEETINGS.

The fortnightly meeting of Court Enterprise, A.0.F., was held on Monday evening in the court room, Rattray street. The meeting was presided over by' C.R. Bro. P. M. (Jeddcs. and was well attended. Senior Auditor P.C.R. Bro. F. Thurgarland read the auditoifi' report and balance-sheet for last half-year. and congratulated the court on its financial progress, the funds having increased bv £lB2 18s. 9d, notwithstanding the fact that £l9l 10s had been paid as sick allowance during the period. The total worth of the court was given as £9.071 9k 4<l. The btlanee-sheet was received and adopted, and the trustees were lOiurlimonted on the ckse investment of the funds. Invitations to pay official visits to Court Pride of Dunedin and Court Pride of Green Island were accepted. Bros. P. M. (.Jeddcs and J. Gillies were appointed delegates on two committees. The fortnightly and adjourned summoned meeting of the Loyal Hand and Heart- Lodge, M.U., was held in the lodge room. Stuart street, last night. X.O. Bro. J G. Roberts presiding. One candidate was initiated. The following visitors responded :—P.G. Bro. Lawry (Caversham), V.U. Bro. Xruen (Dunedin), P.G.M. Bro. WV.d (Dalt,.*,), P.CM. Bro. Wood (Otago District). The balance-sheet for the halfyear ended 30th June was presented, showing that the funds of the lodge are increasing. The loans on mortgage amount to £29,219. The value of the securities is nearly double, and the trustees and agent are to be congratulated in so well looking after the lodge's Interest. The properties and money in the bank bring the funds up to £32,023. The interest received more than pays all the sick and funeral claims.
