DRAINAGE BOARD.
Last, night's ordinary meeting of the Dunedin Drainage Board was attended by Messrs Burnett (chairman), Marrow. Douglas, M'Farlane, Christie, and Dr Fulton. Correspondence from the St. Kilda Council relative, to the purchase of a strip of land in front of the punipinjf station and th" erection of fencing was referred to the Works Committee, as was a request by A. J. Luniley for an extension of reticulation in Cumberland street. Messre J. Duthio and Co. (Wellington) advised that the pipes for the renewal, of the rising main wore duo to arrive by 6.5. The bank books showed the aggregate fund to be £6.7)19 6s- 5d in credit, and the trust a.tount £SO 5s 9d in credit.—The report was adopted. 'lenders were opened for the construction of a number of drains in common at Maeandrc.w road, Harbor terrace. Eden street. Cargill road, and Nelson street, and were refeiTed to the Works Committee. It was decided to charge the pro(»rty-owners concerned 5 ]x>r cent, additional for supervision, expenses, etc. The Board then went into committee.
