The monthly meeting of the * Conuoitte* of the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Society, held to-day, was largely attended. Mr K. I<\ Dnthie presided.. Messrs W. J. Charters and 1'- Pattullo were appointed to represent tho society at the agricultural conference in Wellington. Mr A. Rathgate, secretary of the Reserves Conservation Society, forwarded particulars as to tho proposed planting on tie sandhills behind Tahuna Park.—Referred to the Grounds Committee with power to act. " -- A Christchurch firm wrote intimating <i desire to participate in the show of " Industrial Week-" The Secretary of the Agricultural Departmept notified tho intention of his depart ment to make a display of roots,' grain, etc., at tho Winter Show. Mr Duthie announced that he wished to retire from the presidency, so as to visit Eugland, but tho Committee decided tc simply grant leave of absence. Several new members were elected. Mr A. L. Baird, of Sydney,' wrote that he was prepared to set up " Wonderland " side shows at the Winter Show.—The matter was left in tho hands of the secretary (Mr Fulton) to arrange.
