NEW PLYMOUTH, April 21. . At a. meeting of the Taumarunui Li< arising Committee hejd at Waitara this morning wholesale licenses were gran ted to L. Jacob, of Mokau, and E. T. G<n enlock, of Awakino. Counsel appeared for the local " branch of the New Zeal aid Alliance to oppose, but was ruled out of court. The police also opposed the applications. •
