A DESTRUCTOR NEEDED.

TO THE EDITOR. ** , Sir, —There is a great deal said just now about erecting public baths and establishing a market, but it would be more beneficial to the community if the Council would turn "their attention towards erect ing a destructor, and'So do away with thf refuse heaps at the north and south end of the City, which are a menace to healthy besides being an eyesore. The tip at the north end is simply swarm* ing with rats, and now that the coH weather has come'they are finding theil way into the people’s houses. It would be moie to the purpose to put a stop to these pests than to spend money on baths, which are already within the reach of any* one who wants them.—l am, etc., An Elector. April 19. ' •
