CONVICT RISING
SEIZE THE WARDERS. SURRENDER AT THE BAYONET POINT. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. PARIS, April 15. (Received April 16. at 8.10 a.m.) Taking advantage of the holidays, the convicts at Gaillon Prison, where the desperate convicts are confined, seized the gaol and forced the warders, under threat, to wreck the prison and to serve them with soup, wine, and tobacco. The next day the troops, with fixed bayonets, compelled their surrender. Sixteen, however, escaped to the woods, of whom nine are still at libertv.
