THE NORTHERN UNION GAME. [Special to the Stae.] INVERCARGILL, April 16. The local Northern Union players have convened a meeting for to-night,"and it is expected, in view of the Otago Union's action in refusing to support Southland in an endeavor to have the disqualification removed in certain cases, that some players at least will get the Northern game going for another season. INTERSTATE BOWLS. In the interstate match Victoria v. New South Wales, played at Sydney, Victoria won the deciding game of" the' rubber by 86 points to 80. A cable from Sydney states that at the yearling sales the Maltster—Mangosten fillv brought 735 guineas and the Maltster —Fusile filly 560 guineas.
