The I/oval Valley Lodge met in their lodge room, North-east Valley, on Monday evening, X.G. Bro. Wells presiding. There was a largo attendance of brethren, the occasion being the official visit from city and suburban lodges. The principal business was the election of delegates to the annual district meeting, which resulted in N.G. Bro. Wells and P.G.g Bios. Brown and Palmer being selected. After a candidate was initiated the lodge adjourned to the Gardens Tea Rooms 10 entertain the visitors. About seventy-five brethren sat down to the liberal supper provided by Mrs Moloney. P.P.Q.M. Bro. J. Wood proposed the toast of the Loyal Valley Lodge, to which N.G. Bro. Wells Euitably responded, and thanked the gathering for their enthusiastic reception of it. A large and varied programme was gone through, the following brethren contributing items: —Songs by P.G.s Bros. Cole and Brown, Bros. Odney, R. Ibbotsen, and Bragg, a recitation bv P.P.G.M. Bro. J. Wood, and a musical monologue by E.S. Bro. Russell. Under the second proposition the following brethren responded:—X.G. Bro. Webb (Caversham), P.G. Bro. Kirby (Nascby), V.G. Bro. P. A. Wilson (Port Chalmers), X.G. Bro. J. Wright (Albion), G.M. Bro. Gallowav (Dunedin), and N..G Bro. W. H. Lvons "(Hand and Heart).
