At Feikling yesterday a meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of W. M. Whishaw, farmer, was held. Bankrupt's statement ebowed unsecured creditors, £2,373 ; secured creditors, £29,413 ; value of securities estimated at £39,134. The bankrupt was examined at length, and finally a committee were set np to assist the asignee in making valuation of the properties. A MOROCCO LOAN. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, March 9. (Received March 10, at 10.10 a.m.) The wool sales opened brisk at about 5 per cent, advance on last rates. The National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand are in Teeeipt of the following cable message from their London office, dated March 9 :—" Wool sales opened to-day. Merinos and crosssbreds generally at an advance of 5 per cent on last sales' closing rates. American buyers operating freely. There is good competition." Messrs Dalgety and Company received the following cable :—" Wool salesopened. The attendance of buyers is large, competition i 6 animated, and there is a fair selection. Greaey merino 5 per cent, higher than closing rates of last series ; greasy cross-bred 5 per cent, higher than closing rates of last series ; scoured merino wools, a change, if any, is in favor of sellers : extra super greasy merino has not yet been offered for sale."' The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received the following cablegram from their London office regarding the opening of the second series of wool sales :—" There was a full attendance at the opening of the sales to-day. Competition by Home, Continental, and American buyers was spirited, and prices as compared with the close of preceding aeries, ruled about 5 per cent, higher.
