At a meeting of the- Council of the Canterbury Chamber of (>mmaroe the Wellington Chamber of Oommeroe wrote giving a lust of subjecte proposed for consideration by the Conference to be held on the 13th April and following days. No limitation is to be placed on the number of delegates from tire different Chambers that may attend the Conference. The voting power of 6uch delegates is to be determinable by the Conference when assembled. Particulars of any paper to read and motions ox subject to be brought forward were asked to lie forwarded by the 22nd of the month. It was decided to include the Vancouver mail service as a subject for consideration. The Wellington Chamber also wrote with reference to the seventh Congress of Chambers of Commerce of the Empire, to be held in Sydney in September next, suggesting that two members each of the Chrifitchurch, TJunedin, Auckland, and Wellington Chambers should act- as a eomnrttee with the object of securing a visit of the delegates to New Zealand, and with a view to arranging a programme for their entertainment It was suggested that thin matter should be dealt with at the Conference of Chambers to be held in Wellington in April.
