King Edvrard has permitted Lord Esher to utilise the late Q.ueen Victoria's unpublished journals for an address to bo delivered before the Royal Institution. One thousand two hundred and fifty large volumes of con-espondence and journals and 100 manuscript volumes, being the daily record of the Queen's life from her thirtieth birthday to within ten days of her death, wiE never be published in their entirety, at Queen Victoria's wish. These have been examined by Princess Beatrice, who has also copied many volumes, and excised those passages which Queen Victoria desired to be kept private.
