A number of Oxford undergraduates refused Mr Keir Hardie a hearing in the Town HalL, and pelted the platform with eggs and oranges. The proceedings ended in a free fight. [Two years ago the Cambridge undergraduates distinguished themselves by a similar outbreak of hooliganism.]
