The subject of ‘Builders’ Quantities’ has jurt been started on Tuesday evenings at the Christchurch Technical Classes for the benefit of students in the building trades department. This is probably the first time in the colony that a special dam has been devoted to this subject, which includes rv.t only the taking off of quantities, hut also abstracting and hilling from scale drawings, and the methods of measurement of the different kinds 6f work that occur in buildings.
