The inquiry into the Marquis of Townsbend’s sanity has commenced. Extraordinary allegations were maae by counsel. He asserts that, the father of the marchioness is an undischarged bankrupt-, although he had agreed to settle £27,000 and £2,000 a year on his daughter. [Charges were recently made in a section of the London Press that the marquis was being kept a prisoner in his own house. He is forty years of age, and was married less than a year ago to Gladys Ethel Gwendolin Eugenie, daughter of Thomas Sntherst, Esq.]
