Tho Waikare, i.,im Newcastle and Wellington, is due at, Dunedin about 10 a.in. to-morrow. Tho Invercargill, having been cleaned and painted, was flouted out of the. Vgraving dock this afternoon. The Marino Department has satisfied itself that the Matthews natept incandescent vaporised oil occulting light i$ preferable to the light now used on various pa.rt-s of tho New Zealand coast, and it is to lie brought into general use as far as possible. One of the lights is to peplpcc ibe fixed light at Jack’s Point, near Timarti, and will be shown there for the first, time on August 23.
