Mr £!. Holdsworth. general manager of tir-Q Union Steam Ship . Company, left for Sydney by the Moerakil to-day. Mp Frank Ap.drews, sop of Mr J. Andrews (private secretary to the. Jate Premier), has been transferred from the New Zealand locomotive department to the sta-tion-master's office at Dunedin. Ex-Sergeant Fleming, who has retired from the Police Force after thirty-three years' service, was presented with a puree of sovereigns at Queenstown last week. ' Mr James Rattray, a native of Baldutha, a widely-known staff officer since the inception of the Salvation Army in New Zealand twenty -three years ago, and who for the past twelve years ■ has been engaged in the ■Army’s operations in all parts of the Commonwealth, has resigned his commission, apd returned to New Zealand.
