The appeal report of the above society slates The Gopppittge haye pinch pleasure in submitting the annua] report and balancesheet for the year ended July J9,’thus completing the twenty-first year pf the existence of the Dppedin branch of the St. Vincent de _ Paul Society. During the year the society have relieved a great deal pf distress, and have been the means of sending seven children to St.i Mary’s, Nelson, eight girls to the Orphanage, South Dunedin, one woman to Mount Magdala, two yoppg girls to their home in Wellington, and one to her home in Ppjmeipton North. To all the generous apd sympathetic friends yopr Committee offer their sincere thanks, apd would specially mention' Hip Lordship the Bishop, the clergy, the nppp of the Good Shepherd (Mount Magdala) , Messrs Dalian and Gallaway, Mt O'Neil, U..S-S- Company, the Society for Protection of Women and Children, apd all puJiscTihipg members. The society hays had pine children baptised. Grossly orders were given to fifty-six people, and coal orders to forty. There are 170 honorary members on the roll and nine active members. The balance-sheet shows a balance .of £53 3js in hand.
