CHRISTCHURCH, Julv 14.
The decision of the Marylebone Club to send an amateur team to visit New Zeauland and play fifteen matches is the out- ) come of an invitation from the New Zealand Cricket Council to the Marylebone Club to send a team of amateurs out to New Zealand in 190607, virtually for the Exhibition fcaoon. The secretary of the Council recently received a reply fiom Mr Lacey (secretary of the Marylebone Club) saving, that "nothing could be settled until' the English cricket season opened, but promising to do the best be could. The New Zealand Council widwd the English test team that were to virft Australia this season to extend their tour 't> New Zealand, but owing to the dispute in Australia with resrurd to the tour not being settled, the M.CC. had decided not to send a twoi to Australia; but to accept New Zealand's invitation.
