The Pacific Cable. Board have opened am { office in Sydney, and are transacting busi- j ness directly -with the public. The receipts of the Emu Bay Railway i (Tasmania) for the month of May this year I amounted to £5,417, as compared with £3,991 for May, 1905, making the total J receipts for the five months of 1906 £25,410, as against £19£46 for the same period last year. PROPERTY SALES. Messrs Watson and Co. report having sold for Mr George Graves a six-roomed house in St. David street, the purchaser being Mr H. T. Andrews, late of Palmerston North.
