WAIHOLA REGATTA.
Arrangements for the successful carrying out of their thirteenth annual Tpgatta have been completed by the officials of the Otago Rowing Association, and given a continuance of the present fine ■weather over Friday, the attendance should be a record one. Many conveniences have been planned at the Lake, and the local caterers nave made special provision for the large numbers who do not take the picnic billy and basket. For the. especial convenience of picnic parties, the Association have decided to supply boiling water free. The various events on the programme will be keenly contested, and the Southland and Oamaru ypitors will not find the local crews napping. '.Hie spectacle of a motor launch race, with nine entries, on Lake Waihola over a triangular course, should alone be worth the small railway fare.
