NEW ORGAN AT ALL SAINTS'.
The large organ just erected in. All SaintsT' Church was opened at yeoterdriy morning l * service, on tbe occasion of ■ ; parade of tbe B Batten- (Dunedin neees and Cadets) and toe Garrison Band About 200 men attended, and tbe church was crowded. The Dean read the pcayere. snd ao appropriate sermon was preached by Canon Mayne, chaplwm to the forcea. The organ is a fine two-manual instrument cf twenty stops, by Die famed organ builders, Mens Bsvington ,and Sons,, of London. It Isas beesi ior mbay ycar% in. St. Pool’s Presbyterian Church, Christchurch, and the pipe work has therefore tho roeiiowians begotten of age. It contains several beautiful steps, end 1 in -volume of tone compares with tbs largest organs in tbe other Dunedin obnrties- During the service yesterday the oaparity and quality of the new organ were ably demonstrated by Mr J. A Haggitt, the organist of the c!mccih,and its va&o as an aid to tbe congregational Binging was amply shown in tee special limww Bing Airing the service. On Wednesday evening (All Skints’ Day) the usual animal festival service will be held, wfean the cboir will be lesnfaßoed by those of the other Angficaa churches, and the organist will be asastsd by Mir W.
