PROPERTY SALE. There was a fairly numerous attendance in the Chamber of Commerce rooms vesierdav. when Messrs E. L. Maeaseey and Co.* offered by auction a nuiniier of City and suburban propel ties. An investment property in Elm row. consisting of 22 poles of land, with four cottages thereon", fell to the bid of Mr Roughan at *JI.OOO. The or he- lots offered were a five-roomed house in Melrose, a threeroomed cottase in Grant street, a block of land (la lr 27.5n) at Anderson Bay. and three houses a; Oavorshani. but all these failed 10 lind new owners, and can now lie dealt for privately.
