MINING
(Continued from page 6.)
An Auckland paper, in predicting that Waiotahi shares would touch £2O after the market opens, goes on to say that, after all, this would only be equivalent to £2 in a 60,000 shares company, and the expressed intention of the directors is to increase the number of shares to 60.000. Old hands who have seen the show of gold in the face at the mine predict great results from it. Moanatairis, it adds, are strongly held, because of the- proximity of the Waiotahi find, and sales have been made. above ss. It seems a high prico for expectations, but buyers are going a great deal on an expert's belief that he can open the Waiotahi reef easily in the Moanatairi ground.
The secretary of the Nokomai Hydraulic Sluicing Company report* that at both elevators sluicing is progressing favorably. At No. 1 a wash-up will probably take place about the 19th in3t., and it is" expected that at No. 2 washing up will probably take place about the same time.
