TROUBLE AT A LIGHTHOUSE
GISBORNE, January 9. News has been received of a disturbanea at East Island lighthouse. ' The principal keeper reported to the police and the Collector of Customs that one of the men, apparently in a fit of insanity, had been smashing up things, and appealed for assistance. A boat was sent from Port Awamii, and the man who is supposed to kare created the disturbance was brought back. He is perfectly sane, and no explanation is available of the occurrence, ■ ,
