THE NORTH ISLAND TOURNEY.
GISBORNE, January 9. The North Island Bowling Association's annual tournament opened to-day in glorious weather. The Gisborne Club's fine green was gaily decorated. There was a large attendance at 9 a.m., when the tournament opened. The Pahiatua and New Plymouth teams failed to arrive, leaving the number of competing clubs at twenty-two. ROSLYN v. OUTRAM. A three-rink match was played between the Roslyn and Outram Bowling Clubs on ■Saturdiy at Outram, and after a very enjoyable game resulted in a. win for the visitors by the narrow margin, of 2 points.
