Waddell and Co., in their review of the frozen meat trade in England for 1904, anticipate an improved consumption and demand during the current .year, and declare that Great Britain will have to depend for supplies more than ever on Australasia and the River Plate. Prices are likely to be somewhat higher this year than during 1904. The Westport Coal Company's output last week was tons.

Rabbrtskins : At the auction sales 1,888 bales were offered and 1,867 Bold. Best advanced Id, and low-furred suckers showed from par to -Jd decline. Frozen Meat : Sheep—Canterbury, light, 4fd; medium, 4fd; heavy, Dunedin and Southland, none offering; North Island, 4|d. Lambs—None offering. Beef—Fores, 3d; hinds, 3|d. River Plate sheep, heavy, 3 11-16 d; light, 3|d. Beef, fores, 211-16 d; hinds, Z^d. Hemp : Quiet and unchanged.
