WELLINGTON, Jarruary 9. Tho Department of Industries and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the Agent-General, dated London, January B:—The frozen meat market is very dull, and quotations show a wealcer tendency. Butter continues in active demand, the market being firm, with a haidening tendency. Average price for choicest Zealand butter to-day is 100s. The cheese market is active, and advancing average price finest New Zealand beinc 52s per cwt. The hemp market is very quiet *t about last price. There has been no alteration m the cocksfoot seed market since last week. Importations of River Plato mutton for the month of December were • To London, 65,865, to Liverpool 129.343, castle 11243, to Plymouth 837. Lamb--532 ' Liverpool 6,831.
