CITY EDITION
Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, subject to any necessary alterations, as under:—
Overland, Northern ports, Christchurch, and intermediate offices, daily, 6.30 a.m. Late letters, 7.40; also on the mail van up to 8 a.m; for Second Express for Palmerston, Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru, Ashburton, and Christchurch, at 12.45 p,m.; also Northern ports at 12.45 p.m. on Saturday. For Greymouth, Hokitika, and Reefton, MoDday and Thursday, at 12.45 p.m. For South express trains, at 8.30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage. Id. TUESDAY, JANUARY 10.
For Lyttelton and Christchurch.—Per Victoria, at 4 p.m. Late letters 5 p.m. on board.
Afails for Chatham Islands, per Toroa, close at Lyttelton on the 9th, at 8 p.m. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, per Manapouri, close at Auckland on the ltth at 12.45 pjn. Mails for Cromarty, Puysegur Point, and Te Oneroa, per the Invercargifl, will dose at InvercaTgul on the 12th, at 4 p.m. Tha Ruapehu •will leave WeUin-rton for London via Monte Video and Tenerlffe ou •fie. 17th. Correspondence to be specially addressed.
