INVENTIONS PROTECTED
During tho four weeks ending January 2nd Messrs Baldwin and Rayward, patent attorneys, Wellington (district managers. Mirams Bros., Joel's Buildings, Crawford street, Dunedin), prepared and filed the following- applications for protection under the Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks Act:—

Baker, Christchurch, an improved cream separator; Wm. M'Keegan, Wellington, an improved method of and device for branding animals; F. E. Higgins, Cambridge, trade mark "Device of a Footbal'.er"; J. F. Ross and W. Wiggins, Greytown, apparatus for coiling and uncoiling fencing, wire; Lamson Store Service Company, London,- improvements in apparatus for conveying parcels and the like; D. J. Williams, Waimangaroa. improved apparatus for conveying flax from strippers and cleaning same; Naimton and Palmer, Melbourne, a new method of printing music, and stave therefor; Jones and Ludeman, Melbourne, an improved blower or continuous air pump; A. E. Gill, Nelson, an improved clamp for wire rope • Edwards, Edwards, and Wettenhall, Mel•bourne, an improved dray harness saddle • C. W. Ziele, Christchurch, trade mark "Master Polish"; Asiatic Petroleum Company, Melbourne, trade mark "Motor Engine"; C. E. Warden, Qiristchurch, improvements in or relating to hoops, pegs, and the like, used in parlor games; Archibald Lowe, Hastings, an improved thinnine and weeding knife; j. S. M. Jacobsen, Nelson, improved method or process for the production of metals from their ores; G. S. Jones, Oamaru, improved mailing wrapper for photographs and the like.
