VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.
At a meeting of the Dunedin Bearer Corps, held at the Garrison Hall on Tuesday evening, the financial statement showed that the company,' after a considerable amount of trouble, had now surmounted their difficulties, and the end of the current year v.-ill find the balance on the right side. Committees were set up for the ensuing year as follow:—Social—Lance-corpor-
als Beck and Knox and Privates Parker and Williams; Orderly Room—Corporal Hutton, Privates R. Clarkson,' Vine,' and Downes j Waggon—Lance-corporal Johnson, Privates. Ataia,' Wilkinson. Downes, and Rackley. Competitions held during the last camp for silver medals presented by Quarter-master Bone and" Sergeant Dick were won'by Lance-corporal' - Johnston's squad and Corpora Huttbn's squad. During the coming year a course of ambulance lectures will be delivered, and an advanced ambulance course will be given. The corps have now*a few vacancies, and those desirous of obtaining a thorough training in ambulance work should make early application for enrolment.
