REMOVING THE SANDHILLS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —We read a deal in the Press about the value of our Sandhills as a protectioL from tidal waves, etc, and we have a Domain Board to look after them. Yet, Thole on a visit to the beach this afternoon I 'was surprised to see a man with two drays busy carting the sand at the back of Ta-hnna-Park through a hole in the fence over to a section on the ITlat, where it is simply bsing used for filling in. I have made inquiry, ar.d find that it is being purchase - } from the Trotting Clnb at so much a load, I want to know who has power to dispose •jif this public property.—l am, etc., Nattvil December 11.
