JEAN GERARDY CONCERTS.

The three concerts by the ■world-famous violoncellist Jean Gerardy, whose phenomenal performances are creating enthusiasm throughout the colony, will commence at the Agricultural Hall on Tuesday evening nmtt. In addition to hearing this great artist, Miss Electa Gifford and Mr Gottfried Galston (pianist), two exceptionally brilliant musicians, appear. Mr John H. Tait. who is managing the tour for Mr A. H. Canby. the director, is now in Dunedin making arrangements, and he informs us that Gerardy has been appearing in the North to crowded audiences. At the fin-tl concert in Wellington on Saturday last some hundreds could not gain admission. We have no doubt that the Agricultural Hall will be crowded every time the famous ’cellist appears. The secretary and directors of the Agricultural Hall, where certain alterations are being effected, will make special provision for the comfort of those I trending. The box plan for the season opens at the Dresden Piano Company to-morrow morning at ten o’clock, and those who wish good positions should book carlv.
