The monthly meeting of the Edneatim Board was held thin afternoon, ami attended by the Rev. P. B. (chaiTOWl), Messrs D. Borne, R. Peafctie, W, Niaohw, A Marshall, J. Mitchell, W, g»ow, J, Stsrc and T- Mackenzie, MtBLR, A petition was received from about «octeen settler? in the Catlin. dwtiipt Wkin* for a school at Stoddart'a Corner, it deputation, consisting of Messrs F, BwJMd. Claims for half-cost of unpro,Yemt»ti w«r« granted as follow :•—Batauui, erjgatipn of shelter sheds, £3; SUrlinc, paintfcgf etc-, Ai7 10?; Sutton, flooring sheds, *£«,, $$ 2» 6d; Teaneraki, bell and erection, of sane, .£7. The Board granted the request far tk* erection of a new school at Fwrfaj.
