Seventy thousand persons attended the Association fnolhnll match between England and Scotland, played at Djrox Park, Glasgow.
The crowd broke the barriers and invaded the ground. The mounted police then charged, and cleared the playing space. Many were injured in the crush elsewhere. The back of the grand stand collapsed, r/recipitating scores of people 35ft. and burying them amoDgst the broken wood. Altogether three were killed and 150 injured, some, fatally.
