CHEMISTS’ HOURS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I see by our daily papers that the butchers’ Lours are shortened, and I would like to ask: Can nothing be done for chemists’ apprentices, as they work twelve and fourteen hours a day? What time have these boys for study or recreation? It is little wonder so many boys in their teens break down in health. Trusting to see some abler pen than mine take this up—l am, etc., One Interested. September 18.
