Trains will leave Palmerston for Dunback at 11.15 am. and 5.0 p.m., returning from Dunback at 12 noon and 6 spm. These Trains will stop at the Racecourse to pick up and set down pa3sengers. SPORTS AT MIDDLEMARCH. The Train usually leaving Dunedin for Kokonga at 6.55 a.m. and Kokonga for Dunedin at 11.50 a.m., Hyde for Kokonga at 10.30 am., and KokoDga for Hyde at 2 0 p.m. will NOT run. INTENDING VISITORS to this portion of the Southern Alps may now proceed either by rail to Fairlie and thence by coach, leaving Fairlie on TUESDAYS and FRIDAYS, or by rail to Kurow, and from" there by coaoh to Pukaki on TUESDAY, connecting, with Fairlie coaehea at Pukaki leaving on WEDNESDAYS. Tourists ban tike the regular mail coach, or arrange at Fairlie for special buggv at about the Bame rate—viz , 70s return. During the mm'h. of December the express train.; on Thursdays as well as Mondays citchns the train from Timaruto Fairlie, which leaves Timaru at 5.25 p.m. The Hermitage is under the c»re of Mr and Mrs Ross, with -Mr Clark as guide.
