The Dunedin Golf Club held their monthly medal competition on Saturday, and were with an afternoon moderately free from wind, although before the finish rain began to fall. The links were in capital condition, and a closer finish was expected. However, several good players did not hand in their cards, presumably because their scores had suffered bv bad luck. The winner turned up in Mr S. Matheson, with a net score of 92—a very creditable performance. The following are the four best cards handed in :
