A etation on the cesv electric railway is being constructed under the old city church of St. Mary, Woolnoth, at the corner of Lombard street. This is involving a great engineering feat. The spice under the church has been tunnelled, and the structure above, weighing about 1,400 tons, is beinc supported on steel girders. There is a danger in carrying chlorate of potash tabloidß in the same pocket aa matches.
