The Employers' Federation have postponed the preliminary meeting of the Conference, which was to have taken place to-day, between representatives of the employers and the engineers. Mr Ritchie says that both sides are inclined to approach each other in a conciliatory spirit If do not agree upon a chairman who will be satisfactory to both parties they will be willing to appoint a chairman for each. side.. ■•' •
