OTTAWA, November 16. The American Government have suggested to Canada, through Great Britain, that the Dominion Government should consent to the cessation of pelagic sealing in Behring Sea for a year. The Canadian Government object to this course, inasmuch as it would involve the surrender of the position taken up by Canada with respect to the fisheries.
