For this competition there were twentyfive entries, but, owing to the violent state of the elements, many of those who entered did not compete. The anglers had to contend with heavy squalls of wind and rain, with occasional hail showers, which no doubt accounts for the comparatively small returns of 935' ib, as compared with last year's total 0f!982-b. _^_^
