: WELLINGTON, November I‘i In the Appeal Courts in the case of Loundea v.' Mitton, the judgtnent appealed from was affirmed; and the motion for leave to appeal to the Privy Council was adjourned.. In the case of, w fe 'Carter,‘deceased, ah' appeal from the Commissioner of . Stamps was allowed by the . Court, with hosts on the highest scale, the Court holding , that Carter’s gift-to the Carterton -Aged Men’s Home .was exempt from'duty. In the case of the Official Assignee of M'Grath v. Annie M'Grath, the Court allowed the appeal, with costs on the middle scale, and the conveyance was'declared void. The, Court allowed„the- appeal in Longhnan v. Dalgety and Co., with costs, on the highest scale, but leave was granted to the respondents to appeal to the Privy.’Council. The Court ad* journed for three weeks. The only two judgments held oyer are those relating to two, cases- involving an-interpretation of points in the Life Assurance Policies Act.
