Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin (subject to any necessary alterations), as under:— Overland, North, daily, 10.30 a.m. Late letters, mail van, 11 a.m. Thursday, November 4. For Lyttelton, Christchurch. Northern Porta, and Australian Colonies (except Tasmania).—Per Manapouri, at 1 p.m. Friday, November 5. For Lyttelton and Christchurch.—Per Rotorua, at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 6. For Sydney direct.—Per Monowai, at 1.30 p.m. Late letters, Port train, at 2.30 p.m. DIRECT MAIL SERVICE, Thursday, November 4. The direct steamer lonic will leave Wellington for Plymouth via Rio de Janeiro, on Saturday, 6th November. Mails close here as under; For the United Kingdom and foreign countries, etc., at 10 a.m. Money orders at 9.15 a.m., book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m. Parcels mail for the United Kingdom, etc., will close at 9.30 a.m. Late letters, mail van, North express, at 11 a.m. Mails for Fiji, per Hauroto, will close at Auckland on the 3rd November, at 4 p.m. (Signed) Edm, Cook.
