The man Hendrick, who attempted to commit suicide yesterday by cutting his' throat, was sent to the asylum this afternoon.
Mr J. B. Harcourt, city councillor, of Wellington, was acoidentallyrun over yesterday, and had his arm-broken. AUCKLAND, October 29. The Rev. G. B. Munro had several riba fractured by being thrown from a trap in a collision caused by his horse shying.
• LYTTELTON, October 29. Juab after one o’clock to-day Edward Harrington, stevedore, engaged in discharging the steamer Mataura, went aloft to fix on the derrick head a guy which had carried away. He lost his footing and fell to the u6ok| and died in a few minutes, ~ , CHRISTCHURCH, October 29. Mabel M. Poore, aged two and a baif years, was killed at Limvocd last night. Nhe was knocked down by a horse, which, in attempting to jump over her, struck her on the. head.
