ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
‘ Southland Times ’■ reports that on Saturday some children wpre playing near the sea on the Ocean Beach, and one little fellow, William Ouren Cooper, six years of age, who was fishing from an embankment, slipped into the water, which was sft or 6ft deep. The other children ran for help, but as no one was very near life was extinct when the body was recovered.
