The new series of popular concert entertainments'opening 6a Saturday night at the Garrison Hall, should, judging from the advertised programme and the talent engaged, draw well. Farquhar Youhg. and James Jago, who are deservedly public favorite's, can of themselves sustain the characters of a musical performance; and the management have also secured the services of the Hiitton Family Bellringers (who will perform Bome beautiful selections upon the handbells), Mr Nottingham as violin soloist, Miss Vartha as pianist, and Mrs Hewitt (soprano), who makes her first appearance before a Dunedin audience on Saturday night.
